Homemade Entrees and Baked Goods
Each Friday we receive healthy, flavorful and hearty soups from Heirloom Kitchen in Front Royal.
The soups are primarily vegetarian and are prepared in small batches in the Heirloom Kitchen farmhouse in Front Royal, Virginia.
Most of the vegetables and herbs come from local farm markets and from the garden at the Heirloom Kitchen farm. When meat
and poultry are used, they are also locally raised and all natural. Soups are packaged in sturdy plastic pint containers and
frozen for freshness and convenience.
In addition to the soups, we
also receive Heirloom Kitchen focaccia, cookies, fresh-baked bread, and hummus each week and lasagna about
once a month.
Fresh Dairy Products
Milk, raw-milk cheese, butter, yogurt, buttermilk, whipping cream, half &
half, and ice cream arrive from Trickling Springs Creamery in Pennsylvania every Tuesday.
All
of the dairy products from Trickling Springs Creamery are from grass-fed cows. Milk from grass-fed cows has an ideal ratio
of essential fatty acids. Unlike milk from grain-fed cows, which is high in omega-6 and low in omega-3. Most people are consuming
too much omega-6 and too little omega-3, which can lead to a variety of diseases. The correct ratio of omega-6 and omega-3
fatty acids can lower the risk of cancer, cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disorders, allergies, diabetes, obesity, dementia
and other mental disorders.
Delicious Greenhouse Grown Spring Mix Salad arrives from Sunnyside Farm in Charles
Town from November through May
Grass-fed meat arrives from Smith Meadows
in Berryville each week

Vegetables arrive weekly during the growing season
